Robert Venditti
Guilty, as charged

After receiving a B.A. in Political Science and English from the University of Florida and an M.A. in Creative Writing from the University of Central Florida, New York Times bestselling author Robert Venditti broke into comics the old-fashioned way—by starting out in the mailroom.  He began working for publisher Top Shelf Productions in 2002, and a few months later sold them the script for his first graphic novel, The Surrogates, which was adapted into a feature film starring Bruce Willis and Ving Rhames.  Venditti lives in Atlanta where he continues to write comics.  His most recent book is The Surrogates: Flesh and Bone, a prequel to the original series.  His future projects include the political/medical thriller The Homeland Directive due from Top Shelf in 2011, and a graphic novel adaptation of the bestselling novel The Lightning Thief for Hyperion.
